Your first guess put you where i was after 2 guesses. This is why i don’t like hard mode. A second letter-search guess would likely have given it to you in 3.

I hadn’t noticed this one before but this (S-AR-) is one of those 3 letter Russian Roulette grooves.Once you commit to these three letters in hard mode it will leave you with less guesses than possibilities. Not including words ending in S, I count at least 7 possibilities for letter 2 - C,H,M,N,P,T,W and at least 8 for letter 5 - D,E,F,K,L,M,P,T,Y.
