I wonder if Mathman and I both used MOIST as our second word. And if so, if it then took him as long as me to get the right answer (not ridiculously long, but longer than it should have given that I effectively knew 4 greens).
ETA: it might have been knoath’s third guess, too.

My fourth guess was mists, which i was pretty sure wasn’t a legal word. But it put everything in a new place, and i didn’t want to work to think up other stuff.
If it’s not fun, stop.

Why wouldn’t that be a legal word, as a verb not a noun? I use it (maybe never in third person singular)

This is why the only wordle variant I do is quordle… the others were just not fun to me. Quordle is just enough of a challenge to be interesting, and not overly frustrating as some others

Yes, I’m not sure why, but Quordle hits a perfect spot, at least for me. The 2 and 8 word variants just don’t do it for me, nor does square word.

Pretty sucky start, but by the 4th guess, I could only think of two words with the remaining letters.

This could have easily gone to 6 as FANNY and NANNY were still in play.
My fourth was FANCY, so that helped
