Boss brought subs and potato salad for everybody (+drinks & chips).
Buona Beef changed the name of their crispy chicken salad to honey mustard chicken salad and pretty much ruined it for me. I’d like to think of a salad as a relatively healthy choice whether or not it is, but including the honey mustard in the name just points out I’m still just eating a bunch of sugar. But I ate one last one before crossing it off my list.
The “crispy” tells me that it’s breaded & deep-fried, so I wouldn’t think that’s too healthy.
I see your point about the honey mustard but had never considered that before.
Here it is: The quick and easy white chicken chili recipe that you need this fall

Wife was baking little shaped cakes in silicone molds so I ended up eating a bunch of the cut off tops for lunch.
I’ll be eating chili for a few lunches, because I’m making a pot tonight. Here’s a recipe I like and make fairly often. It’s not very traditional but looks good and tastes good and it’s really simple to make.
1# ground turkey
a couple stalks of celery, chopped
an onion, chopped
2 poblanos, chopped
a couple cloves garlic, diced
1 package chili seasoning
2 t cumin
1 t or so chipotle powder
28 oz can of diced tomatoes
1 can corn
1 can black beans
I don’t bother draining the cans and that ends up being about the right amount of liquid for me.

Meatball sub, pasta salad.
Spam, white rice, canned beets (Hip_tiger_Wife prefers that I eat my Spam while she’s out. )
I am sitting on a patio waiting on my taco order.
The waitron brought my dog a little cup of whipped cream + bacon bits. She came out a few minutes later with homemade dog treats, and asked if she could video my dog eating them. I imagine it will be on their social media or web site.
Did you pan fry the spam?
Microwaved the Spam with the rice, beets on the side.
I’m on your wifes side for this one
I was tasked with Tetrising in an optimistic Costco haul into the freezer, so I freed up some space by finishing off a lone Eggo and some butterfly shrimp.
Rigatoni with sausage and a salad
Had a taco from Chipotle. It was not bad, but the steak was extremely salty, and Chipotle is always underwhelming anymore. It’s not what I remember it being 20 years ago.
The only way to eat spam, imo. Pan fry each side of the slice until lightly seared and eat it with garlic fried rice and a fried egg. Breakfast, brunch, lunch…
I still go to Chipotle once or twice a year, for the nostalgia. I agree it’s fallen a bit, and the pricing feels steep, so I don’t go often. Ditto for Panera, sigh. I still recall the glory days of the Saint Louis Bread Co back in 2000.
Recovering from bad store-bought rotisseried chicken, so kept it simple today with the Costco ramen noodles/Jungle Jim’s ramen topper mix combo
