The Boy With the Arab Strap - Belle and Sebastian
it (and another B&S song) were used in S2 of resident alien. somehow I’d never heard them. i think (based on further listening) the two songs used are their catchiest.

I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow
Hee haw .. it’s the Soggy Bottom Boys!
Ebony and Ivory - Stevie Wonder and Sir Paul McCartney
This put the following in my head. One of my favorite albums, btw. Very subtle and toned down for Manu Chao.
Life’s What You Make It - Hannah Montana
I heard of this song when it was mentioned by Pat Finnerty on Justin Hawkins’ channel. This is one I don’t mind having stuck in my head.
Everything is Free, an old-ish Gillian Welch song. The cover by Courtney Barnett and Phoebe Bridgers just popped up in my feed.
Have You Never Been Mellow? - Olivia Newton-John
Bandidos - The Refreshments
True story, I was listening to Dead Hot Workshop yesterday and today, and I told a coworker when I’m done I need to do the Refreshments again, it’s been a while.
For those who may not know, in the 1990s Tempe gave us these bands and a more famous band, Gin Blossoms.
Most people know The Refreshments for the King of the Hill theme song, but for some reason this one got stuck in my brain.
We built this city - Starship
I really enjoyed Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big and Buzzy. Just a fun album, I listened to it a ton back in the day. And just in general I liked the Tempe sound, was a big Gin Blossoms fan.
condolences.
Slip Away - Lou Reed and John Cale. I blame The Bear for using this and reminding me of this whole album
Only Yesterday - Carpenters
