Water shortages in the US

Atlanta depends heavily on annual rainfall for water, as the main rivers through the metro aren’t very big. When drought hits, it can be problematic. Usually this happens in the summer, but drought hit early this year. Here’s the latest map:

Could get ugly this summer in terms of forest fires, personal water usage, and hits to agriculture.

I suspect continent wide may be bad due to i think it’s a super El Nino.

Eh. Southwest US is supposed to get more rain, though it unfortunately all happens in the same one hour of the year.
