This is exactly what I have. Credit cards go inside the RFID protection, and a card or cards that I want easy access goes outside (like key card to open office door, transit pass,…).
They’re gonna.
I do like the design, though. Still can’t put ten bills in there, IMO, so a lot of planning needs to be done prior to leaving the house. (And, yes, for the most part cash is not needed, unless you want to tip under the table.)
In the Mitchell wallet? I can easily get 10 bills in there. 20 is pushing it a bit.
OK, I might be posting in the “I’m buying this…” thread!
Not only that, but I have a friend who walked into a Gucci shop with me to look at wallets, but holy crap those were expensive. I’m gonna relay that web site to him.
Four slots for cards, though. Need: AAA card, health insurance card AND payment card, DL, vaccination card,…
So, I’ll keep my wallet for “all” the stuff, then use this for actually going out, with minimal stuff.
It is…until you figure it out. I keep my most used cards on the outside of the bundle, and they’re real easy to pop out. If I need anything on the inside, I just pull the whole block of cards out, use the card, put them all back in - like once a month.
Like I mentioned elsewhere, it’s a pita until you get used to it, but once you’re over the hump they’re better.
But assuming that you have a purse, probably no motivation for a smaller design.
Here is my wallet, with the cards kind of fanned out so you can see I have more than one in each slot. I normally keep my DL front left and my primary CC front right for easy access. Things I use less often go in the back. I have 10 cards total here. And $60 cash, like a baller.
ETA: mine in black CXL leather. It’s more refined, if you want something with more character the Dublin leather is an option.
$60 in cash? baller alert!
I do not have a purse. I have a very minimalist thing designed to hold credit cards, with no space for bills. It goes in my pocket when I leave the house.
Back in the before days, I had three RFID cards that I wanted to use a lot. One for mass transit, one for parking, and one to enter my office. It was way easier to just fish my card-holder out of my pocket and wave it at the right thing than to fish out the cards.
that’s a lot large than I want.
That’s closer to what I want, but it might not be quite large enough. I want to include stuff like my library card, all my insurance cards, my eye-glass prescription (because otherwise I’d lose it, and what it I fall and break my glasses) and a lot of other clutter. And I want to be able to separate all that clutter from the 8 cards I actually use (3 mentioned above, plus drivers license, bank card, two personal credit cards, and one corporate credit card)
that’s what she said!
I have something similar sized.
It has more cards than I typically carry right now. At least 10, plus drivers license and a little cash.
If I want to carry more cash, I take a money clip. I used to do so daily, but lots of places started going cashless during COVID so it usually stays home now
I don’t clip or otherwise contain my bills. I fold them in half and shove them in my pocket. That seems to work fine, and I don’t really understand the point of a money clip.
My spouse has a purse to carry all the stuff I might need. Like an Advil. Or my vaxx card. Or some gum. Etc.
My spouse needs to fend for himself. Except when we go to a party fancy enough that I can’t wear clothes with real pockets – then he needs to carry my stuff, too.
It’s hard to get the angle right. It’s bang on 3” x 4” and about 5/8” thick with ten cards and a few bills in it.
I will also note that it’s about ten years old. It’s got a few wrinkles but it’s really just getting broken in.
More like jewelry, than a true need
I’ve considered a phone case that holds a few cards and bills but I’m not sure if that’s asking to lose everything at once.
Mine is 2.5" x 4", and nearly an inch thick when it’s full of crap. I really want a new 2.5"x4" one, as what I have is falling apart.
it actually gets quite slim if I take all the crap out of it – the wallet parts doesn’t add much bulk.
