Prince John and Malifacent seem the “easiest” to play if you have a beginner. Ursula seems the hardest, followed by Jafar. I’d say hook and Q of hearts are in between. I think most are balanced but Ursula is definitely toughest in my opinion to win with.
The expansions are pretty fun too, Ezma has an interesting play condition with her fate deck which is different from anyone else as her deck gets split in 4 above each tile and she needs to frond Kouzco. Scar is another “easy” for beginner to play and Flacier has some interesting and mechanics.
