Us soccer HQ and new national traning center to be built in ATL. I’m sure the selection may have been influenced by Arthur Blank ponying up $50M personally for the center.

Wondering why USMNT aren’t playing their friendlies in Europe, where most of the players are. They need the ticket revenue that badly? Enough to make most of the team tired of 6/8-hour airline trips, each way? I’ll check the attendance to see if it was worth it. Germany play Mexico (another team playing friendlies) as well on their trip.
It’s not that they need the ticket revenue that badly, it’s more “there’s a chance to squeeze money out of consumers and put it into our pockets where we’ll shit it away frivolously? Awesome, let’s do it.”
I only realized yesterday that the USA-GER friendly is local to me.
The only tickets available are resale tickets at presumably inflated prices.
Wait a bit. Patience is key when buying resale. It is important to remember that you don’t NEED to go.
Agree with this. You can often get some killer deals if you have the flexibility to grab a ticket at the last minute.
To this point… I one time went to a WS game for $400/seat about 3 hours to game time, the people the row behind me had spent $1,100/seat three days earlier.
If Matt Turner isn’t our GK for 2026, it better be because (1) he’s hurt, (2) he literally cannot stop a beach ball, or (3) Zach Steffen or whoever else got that much better.
Well, it was a great goal by Pulisic to open the scoring.
That buildup in the 35th minute that Pulisic ended up drilling straight at the keeper was a stellar buildup. First game I’ve watched in awhile. Picked a good one.
That’s a free kick you don’t see very often
How do you get any better than having these guys all scoring? When Adams gets healthy, we have ourselves a squad. Like that Turner had to make clutch save and didn’t just have night off.
Good to see we can beat Ghana in soccer. Now we just need to do that in a meaningful competition.
Wondering if the second-half replacements were satisfied merely holding the lead. They need to score goals and make the starters work even harder so they get better or get replaced.
Uh-oh. T&T and their wonderful shitty field on tap for Nations League Semi-Final berth, AND Copa América berth.
Need to cap some wavering multi-nationals. Oh, and win the home-home.
Bump, for Nations League. Oh, we’re down several players, so time for young players to step up and get capped.
I gotta figure out where and when and what this match is on.
Hmm, on Max. And TNT, and Telemundo and Peacock. Exclusive much?
In Austin.
Thursday, 9PM EST.
Thinking about Telemundo. Yes, they gab non-stop throughout the match same as the English-language ones, but at least I don’t understand it. Fun to hear them roll their rrrrrrrr’s needlessly.
Oh, and the U17’s win v Burkina Faso!
TNT score bug sucks, too. White backgrounds on each team, T&T playing in all white.
Wow, penalty overturned.
Mot because of what the jackass in the booth was saying, “the defender touched the ball first, therefore all subsequent fouls are nullified,” its because mckennie went down without being fouled.
