Only 2 players have ever scored their 1st goal for the USMNT in a final. They both happened this half.
US were better in the 1st half. Canada in the 2nd half. Solid win for the US, as Canada couldn’t figure it out inside the attacking box.

Canada was useless in the attacking zone. Bad decisions, bad shooting and good US defending. That was about the worst I have seen Canada play but I think the US kept them off balance.
I think Americans should be excited about what their team might accomplish in 2026. Not saying they are going to win it but they should go very deep.
It’s crazy how young the team is. At 24, Pulisic is one of the older players. With 3 more years of development, yeah, could be exciting.

Got my cable back in time for this, but went out to dinner. Finished up at about midnight after golf.
Very good game. Balogun creates chances for all US players, pulling defenders to himself. Huge pickup for USMNT for the next 10 years.
OK, so USMNT B ties JAM. Not gonna win this tourney, me thinks.
Jamaica might be the toughest side in the tourney. They fielded 5 premier league players I think, where the US is reaching pretty deep down the roster list. Canada also has key players they can’t use, and Mexico is in shambles. Could be a golden opportunity for the reggae boys to do some damage.
Yeah, I am not sure I am even going to follow the tournament. At least 7 of Canada’s best players not available.
Well, that was easy. Even our retired player can beat Shit Kicked&Nutts. SKN did get promoted to League B of the Nations League, so that’s something.
So, CONCACAF Nations League is not going to have all the Nations in Group Play. That sucks. USMNT stuck with playing friendlies for two breaks.

I feel bad for Jamaica. Tie the US, win their other 2 games by a combined score of 9-1, still lose group by 4 goals.
At least they get to go to the next round. Canada is facing elimination after ties with the two “Gua” teams. Not unexpected as they are playing without 9 of their best players. Games have been painful to watch.
Canada essentially goes through if and only if they beat Cuba (slight disclaimer is if they only win by 1 and Guadeloupe v Guatemala is a high scoring tie then Canada goes home). Would normally like those odds. Problem is Canada needs to have a Guadeloupe v Guatemala tie and put up a ton of goals against Cuba to win group and avoid US in the quarters.

I know Americans are geographically challenged so should have spelled out Guadeloupe and Guatemala. 
But does Nicaragua qualify as a Gua team?
