It’ll be about 41F, 4 or 5 Celsius at kickoff tonight in Cinci
Nothing beats the snow game in Denver vs Costa Rica though

Makes up for the lack of air, and what air there is is polluted, in Mexico City.
Mexico will largely be acclimatized then by the time they get to Edmonton: I had hoped for a balmier night in Cincinnati!
Unlike in Cincinnati, I expect close to 100% of the Edmonton crowd will be cheering for Canada so that should help my side.
The Canada-US match in January will obviously be huge for both teams. It is expected to be played here in Vancouver so I hope to get a bunch of tickets for family and friends for that one. Probably lots of US fans from Seattle will be there for that one so both teams will have good support.
Canada game will be on turf, so maybe the MEX players will get injured.
Dos a Cero
The three finest words in the Spanish language.
We just curb stomped Mexico. How dominant was that? I couldn’t believe it. I disagree with the commentators. I thought we were better than Mexico in the first half and Mexicos chances were against the run of play.
2nd half was so dominant wow. Weah MOTM. everyone was awesome. Pulisic shows why he is our best player.
So pumped
Musah was so great in midfield. McKennie excellent. Just ran circles around Mexico all night.
Granted, no McKennie and no Robinson will suck for Tuesday, but we should be able to handle it. This match highlights why it’s asinine that CONCACAF doesn’t have VAR available. But, VAR isn’t available for WC qualifying matches because … CONCACAF.
At the halfway point: there’s a pretty obvious difference between the top-4 and the bottom-4. With 3 of the next 4 against teams in the bottom half, it doesn’t feel unthinkable that we could have a spot wrapped up before the last window … as long as we take care of business where we should. That would be awesome, knowing that the final window starts at Azteca (where fans will be back in the building, unless FIFA throws the purse at Mexico for more slur chanting and keeps them out again).
Really impressive game. Could not expect too much better. Obviously a first half goal would be good but 7 shots, 2 on goal in first half w 55% possession was strong. Maybe McKennie got his wake up. If he keeps his concentration he may reach his potential both in Europe and with USMNT.
Listened to an Adams interview earlier where he said they were proud of the 2 trophies from earlier and the competitions gave an opportunity for a lot of young players to play but those trophies no longer meant anything and the only thing that mattered was winning upcoming games. Came across as the C.
Mexico’s number 9 FIFA ranking is looking precarious….
Like the US, Canada dominated its higher ranked opponent last night. US and Canada could well be holding down the first two CONCACAF spots when they meet in January.
OK, what effing channel/stream is this on tomorrow?
Paramount+ in English, Universo on TV in Spanish
Is “Universo” a cable network or a streaming service? (Or, both?)
I think I found it. I had “deleted” from the listings most of the Spanish Language stations, but I checked the listings online. I’ll undelete this particular channel.
Both, the streaming service is “Universo Now” and you should be able to use cable login if you are looking for streaming.
TV Schedule for tomorrow seems to confirm showing of the game
TV Schedule for NBC Universo - Eastern feed | TV Passport
Got it! Thank you!
This channel was up in the Spanish language area (800’s), not where, say, Telemundo and Univision are in the 0-100 spots.
It’s snowing in Edmonton and reportedly will be very cold for the Canada Mexico match: El Iceteca

Just discovered that I get a year of Paramount+ free for being a T-Mobile customer.
Right. I’m coming over.
