Son now Trump is pushing for Lara Trump to take up Rubio’s Senate seat via Rick Scott.
The level of grift and corruption will be very hard to remove once Trump is gone in four years.

We could be so much more efficient if we didn’t have road blocks like the Constitution
if the senate is content to not perform its role then there is an argument for a unicameral

I don’t think the Trump voting folks realised what they were actually voting for.

Thr PRESS act unanimously passed the House. It’s been sitting in the Senate Judiciary committee for months, but seemed to have little Senate opposition. Now Trump wants to kill it, as he wants to go after journalists and their sources.
Clegg has been pushed out of Meta in favour of his pro-Trump deputy.
This is a clear sign that Meta is giving Trump a blank check going forwards.
Found this interesting because on first glance it seems amazing that Honduras is threatening to remove US ‘rent free’ military bases because of deportation issues.
In 2023 Honduras signed trade agreements with China.on the belt and road initiative and there maybe meddling from there. Geopolitics is messy.
Relieved a bit that Trump has ruled out military intervention in Canada but I don’t trust him as far as I could throw him. Would not bother buying WMDs yet.
If he destroys the Canadian automobile and parts manufacturing industry in Canada, that is fine with me. Canadian taxpayers have poured billions of dollars into subsidizing that industry and the resulting number of jobs saved/created is small. Would be better to let our manufacturing die and import cheap cars from China. The US could not compete so would lose Canada as an export market.

Another reason why the loss of the Canadian car manufacturing industry would not be catastrophic.
Another contradictory goal: low prices at the gas station and a booming US shale oil industry.
Low oil prices are also going to screw over farmers even more (ethanol).
