If you are singing it, you get some leeway and can make them rhyme.
He’s right we had a 3 year run where GDP growth was over 15% per year. 1941, 1942, 1943. I can’t recall what was going on then but maybe we should recreate those conditions to drive economic growth.
Since then, I don’t believe we’ve topped 9% in any year and 2021 under crooked Joe Biden and the COVID stimulus package was the only time we toped 5% since 1984.

as an aside, was the guy who sang the National Anthem a known entity? It is usually a pretty big name.
I thought he did a decent job, not all that dynamic or memorable

By Monday, one of the detractors, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.), asked officials to look into the performance, which he called “pure smut” that he claimed was “illegal to be displayed on public airways.”
Ogles cited “choreography featuring overtly sexualized movements, including widespread twerking, grinding, pelvic thrusts and other sexually suggestive conduct.”
and I am sure, what really bothered him and unsaid, is it appeared to be some male/male action

Is Ogles sure he was watching the Super Bowl, or did he catch his wife watching Heated Rivalry?

Which is precisely the fear that many queer people have about any war on porn. There is a growing position on the right that classifies being visibly queer as pornographic and something that needs to be banned to protect the kids (while not wanting to actually protect victims of Epstein but that’s another rant)

Although it’s gotten way less popular now that actual Epstein files came out involving Trump, #SaveTheChildren people used to be the biggest hypocrites, getting in the way of actually helping kids. The unearned self-righteousness they display seriously grosses me out.
