Trump Assassination Attempt

Depends on if he could pass his actual score off as if 18 holes. Or maybe that’s irrelevant, since he’s known to lie about golf scores like everything else

Even the Georgia shooting in which actual people died had a relatively short news cycle. When you’re the party who shrugs and says “shootings are a fact of life”, it’s not surprising to resp what you sow.

Yeah he probably put down on his scorecard that he scored a birdie for that hole when in reality he was back on the sofa tweeting about Taylor Swift.

Holy shit.

It just now clicked to me that it was the same day as the attempted assassination that he Tweeted out “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

Yeah, he seems real shook about how close he came to death. Scream-tweeting must be his coping mechanism.

I think that it would be a nightmare protecting Trump if he were in Jail. Prisons are not designed with safety for the prisoners in mind.

You think he’d be going to a regular prison?

Trump is not a current POTUS. There is certainly value in protecting him as a political candidate just as there is value in protecting him as a former president, but there is not value in protecting him for the sake of a continuing executive branch.

So how large of a security detail should taxpayers provide? At campaign events? At his daily golf outings? What about all the people he is constantly hanging out with at his luxury properties?

He is a massive challenge for the SS, and he chooses to do many of these things that create additional challenges…we can debate how much security the SS should provide, but Biden is the current POTUS and is still their #1 priority for 4 more months.

There’s also value in keeping violence from controlling our elections. I know, this is very ironic given the candidate we’re talking about.

Isn’t he there pretty much every day?

I assume by the time he’s actually going to prison, he very well might be in hospice - barring an electoral win in which case I doubt he will ever go to prison before death.

So i haven’t heard much about assassin#2 recently. I guess none of the day 2 gossip was easily pointed at democrats for the blame/ inspiration?

Well, poop. Thanks for trying though, Ryan!

When I think of an assassin I imagine some highly talented, lethal agent. To the benefit of our democratic system these guys are really lowering the bar to be an assassin.

Well, I guess that makes the federal prosecutors’ job easier.

Since he never took a shot, they were going to have the challenge of proving intent if they wanted an attempted assassination charge to stick.

My cynical nature obliges me to ask: are we now using human shields at campaign events?

Very “Dead Zone”-y.

Sounds like a very confused young man.

Don’t blame the victim, and Trump is not young anyway.

It’s amusing. He’s a clear neo-Nazi who wanted to start a race war, so conservatives are hailing him because “If Trump is a Nazi then why would a Nazi want to kill him? Checkmate, libs
