Although I expect Trump was upset about the disclosure that his personal wealth was massively overstated. He has always been sensitive about how rich he is.

The thing is that the height you were in your early 20s may not coincide with the height you are in your 70s.
Gravity can compress the spine and you can actually lose an inch or two of height (the commonly used average is half an inch every decade after you turn 40).
Not defending Trump here (as he is probably lying because that is what he does all the time), but it is possible to think you are taller than you actually are as you age.
So you could be 6’3 when you are 30, but then shrink to 6’1 by 75+
You still “think” you are 6’3, but unless you actually measure your height you would not know you have gotten shorter.

Similarly, after I started doing yoga and going to the chiropractor I got an inch taller. Apparently my spine had been a bit compressed.
So height is definitely not 100% constant throughout a person’s life.
Which is not to discount the lying angle.
