I have heard that the first piggie was going to market as the product, not a customer, several times, but I refuse to let it stick so I continue to feel horrified when I’m reminded of it.
I grew up on a small 3 acre farm. I always knew why the 1st little piggy was going to market. The rest were a little less obvious to me but make a lot of sense.
We regularly took our steers/bulls and old cows alone with pigs to the slaughter house and then a week or so later went back and brought home boxes and boxes of wrapped frozen meat. We had both a large upright and large chest freezer in the garage for storing the meat. As I have mentioned before, I knew we were poor but we had steak a couple times a week and a roast every Sunday. I begged to go to my friends houses when they had hamburger helper because while we had hamburger, it was usually prepared as homemade sloppy joes or in a homemade casserole. And after we got a pig back, mom always spent a day or so rendering the lard.

today I learned, ALWAYS have your phone plugged in and charging. THERE COULD BE A POWER OUTAGE!!!
thankfully it ended in less than an hour, but it could have been far worse!

I don’t worry for 2 reasons: 1st I have a car that I can go to to charge my phone. 2nd I have a 10,000mAh USB power bank that I keep charges. That gives me nearly 2 full charges of my phone.
While I have never used it for this, I’m pretty sure my laptop would also charge my phone, and that is nearly always plugged in.

Curiously to me, when I was young, the few times we had cookies, they were homemade. Only the kids with money had store bought.
When my kids went to school, it was the opposite, the fortunate kids had homemade cookies because they had a stay at home parent.
