It was 45 outside this morning. But 62 inside.
Gonna be a cold week. Will have to open windows in the afternoon when it is 70.
Anywho, post when you turn on your heater, or when it turns on automatically, for the first time this Fall/Winter.

my apartment hasn’t dropped under 64. Supposed to be quite warm the next few days, then I’ll be gone for a week, so will still be a while
That ship sailed weeks ago.
Yup. BTDT.
We not only turned the heat on, we also brought out the space heaters for our room.
It is 20C and sunny here today. Very odd for this time of year.
Yep, sunny and beautiful in Canada!
Except saturday it returns to almost freezing overnight. Doesn’t matter, still going fishing.
A few weeks ago turned it on and even had a fire in the fireplace
My own house’s decision falls on my wife.
I can just put on more layers when WFH, but early morning she is up getting ready for work.
Mine has run overnight for a few weeks, but only once did it dip below 40°F where the furnace had to kick on. Or only once that I noticed. Usually the heat pump just comes on at a low level.
the last couple of weeks were wake up to heat and have AC on from 12-7. i think we are shutting the AC down for the season. we always use heat before november
Haven’t turned it on yet. It got down to 41 and 43 on consecutive nights earlier this month, and we had lows in the 40’s for 5 consecutive nights. However, it’s generally been warm and dry so the house heated up enough in the daytime and held the heat enough at night that we didn’t turn it on.
Haven’t had to bring the sensitive plants in yet this year either.
great blanket weather for sleeping
I’m getting there. It gets to the high 30s/low 40s at night now. One day there was frost on the windshield that I had to scrape. But I am still holding out. By the time the sun comes up my home is comfy already.
Turned on the heat a few weeks ago. Wife’s side of the bed has an additional blanket.
my son in college (Maryland) lived in a connected townhouse with a bunch of guys.
They ran out of oil and didn’t want to ( couldn’t) pay to refill the tank, but the radiant heat from the neighbors was enough to keep it livable
That’s a toasty loaf!
Turned it on a couple weeks back also. Usually when the thermostat gets below 66 or so. We have a gas fireplace that’s nice when watching scary movies in the living room.
October weather has been wild a rollercoaster ride. The 10 day forecast looks a lot more typical for November.
Same. But then it got so hot I had to turn the A/C back on .
I really hate going back & forth like that.
