I’m surprised no one (myself in particular) had Willie Mays. In prior years, I often included the oldest living HoF player from various sports…

RIP…all time great player!

Could’ve doubled on Mays and West

93, and i knew of know health issues.

Suprising he was oldest HoF and only one currently in 90s

I used to always have the oldest HOF member on my list but I stopped doing that. Bad move.

One person I didn’t include on my list here due to no wiki did get me a tragedy pick in another pool: Lizzy Musi. Also hit on Vic Seixas this week in that pool.

Shannen Doherty

A lot of hits

I don’t believe any of us had Simmons or Dr Ruth or Shelly Duval

I did throw out Simmons as an idea for late deadline pools. RIP.

Shannen Doherty: DEAD!

She was known for her many roles in television and film, including as Jenny Wilder in Little House on the Prairie (1982–1983); Maggie Malene in Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985); Kris Witherspoon in Our House (1986–1988); Heather Duke in Heathers (1989); Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–1994), 90210 (2008–2009) and BH90210 (2019); Prue Halliwell in Charmed (1998–2001); and Dobbs in Fortress (2021). Richard Simmons had been on my extended list for a while. I forget whether he ever made it to my top 15, but I had let him slip down to #36 because it seemed like he was just being reclusive / the rumors of his ill health were just rumors.

Agree, I often tend to dismiss candidates where it’s hard to get any news.

He made a couple of posts on Facebook a week before the passed

RIP, Bob Newhart.

Bob Newhart, Soft-Spoken Everyman Who Became a Comedy Star, Dies at 94

I didn’t pick him in this pool, but I did in my money pool after I saw a photo where I thought he looked pretty rough.
