The entrant put Mark Pilgrim (Presenter). I removed this pick and put in the first tragedy alternate, Keith Ape. Thanks for catching these!

I updated the lists to remove Barbara Walters and Don West. Elton John, Fauja Singh and Ed Hearn are now among the celebrities. Bad luck to them!

Also, mad props to the group here. You helped me go back to back in a pool with 78 and 73 entries for 2021 and 2022, respectively. The lists here helped me generate my entries for both years, and I can confidently say that I wouldn’t haven’t been able to do so without the lists this group makes.

My other dead pool does a late start, with a 1/15 submission due date. Last year this dead pool did help me a lot, as I added a couple of good candidates I didn’t find in my own research that both wound up dying. I did win that pool by a pretty wide margin.

I think I’m better at researching this now, because I already have all of the popular selections on my longer list. There are some unfamiliar names picked by 1 or 2 people that I need to research before I make my other submission.

Died 12/31… more alternates!

RIP though

First blood!

I made a themed entry Laugh-in to the Grave (people associated with Rowan and MartIn’s Laugh-in tv show) and my usual entry There’s a Shiva in the Park.

5 plus years after pancreatic cancer diagnosis, that’s a good run. Might have dashed someone’s entries in years past.
