Been seeing an FB post making the rounds about Inter Miami season tickets going from $6.8k to $30.6k.
Don’t know it its accurate but that is an incredible increase if true.

Just to be in the same stadium as Messi, in a stadium seat just like Messi, wearing street clothes just like Messi…
Love the guy, best soccer player ever (don’t even start), but he is taking this retirement way too seriously.
Thanks. So it looks like it was the premium ones they materially increased in price.
Even the cheap ones went way up, but the $ change for the cheap seats is much more modest
Nice article on Acosta of CIN:
Wow that guy is short! Article never mentions it, though.
Despite being an ATL and Almada fan, Acosta has my vote for MVP
Here’s some old news.
Like, ten years old.
(Boom!)
Thought about trying to get St. Louis City tickets for Saturday, since I’ll be down there for stuff.
General admission is $117 per. Could do lower level, toward a corner, for $136 per. Upper level, along the sideline but near the goal line, would be $147 per.
Maybe I’ll skip it this time around. Of course, I have a 20/80 shot at seeing the Blues tomorrow night and that would be $28 per, upper level just ahead of the goal line, and I’m still nah, I can pass on that.
St. Louis FC has nothing to play for on Saturday so I certainly wouldn’t pay much for a meaningless game.
Meanwhile, I drool at the cost of your hockey tickets. I looked at getting Canucks tickets for Leafs or Blackhawks in January and even the lousy seats are $200+.
Can fly to LA, watch VAN vs LAK and ANA for less, when you include the no-snow guarantee.
Have been tempted to do a California road trip but will probably shuttle down to Seattle for a game first. Although I think Kraken tickets may be more expensive than the average US hockey arena.
Some of my snowbird friends used to get a box for Tampa Bay games for less than they would pay for a pair of Leafs tickets in Toronto. I expect only the Rangers charge similar to the Leafs.
If the leafs played on an ice floe in the arctic tickets would still be $200+
It’s Blues vs. Coyotes. One can only get that excited about it. I can remember seeing late-season games in March and I could have had a pair of upper-bowl tickets for like $20 each, lower-bowl tickets in the $65-80 range each (one game, for pretty decent lower-bowl seats it would have been $53 per), and thinking, “… but I’ll have to subject the other person to watching Blues hockey, I don’t want them to hate me afterwards.”
So my Whitecaps get to play the mighty LAFC possibly three more times this year by virtue of only managing a tie against them last night. At least Whitecaps will get one match in Vancouver under the new playoff format.
Would love to go to the game but tickets will be tough to get unless they open up the top tier of the football stadium. It has been a while since Whitecaps have had a home playoff game so hopefully demand persuades the club to increase the seating capacity.
Do the US cities open up additional sections of their stadia for MLS playoff games?
They often do. If demand is there to fill it up they almost certainly would.
Looks like ATL will not open the upper deck for round 1.
Although the date has not been set the ticket site for the Whitecaps home game is now operative and only shows lower bowl tickets for sale. That may change though.
Setting the MLS date here may be tricky as the same stadium is being used for the CFL playoffs and the BC Lions have their home playoff game on November 4: that is when I expect the Whitecaps game would ordinarily happen. I suppose it is possible to have an afternoon and evening event there the same day but that would be chaotic. The Canucks hockey arena is right beside the football stadium and they also have a home game Nov 4.
Since the sports venues are downtown, most people take public transit to the sporting events so traffic at least not a big issue.
This post could have gone in a number of different soccer threads but will drop it in here since Beckham owns Inter Miami now.
Anyone else watch the Beckham documentary on Netflix? A lot of great footage from his career.
My TV just told me Vancouver is opening the upper deck
Thanks. Hadn’t heard that.
LAFC beat the Whitecaps badly in the first game so I am not optimistic Caps can win this weekend. I may need to pivot to hockey soon: at least Vancouver has a good hockey team this year.
