I hope I’m still in the club and it’s just worsening allergies.
I had 3-4 days of fatigue and low grade fever. I assume that is a mild case, even if it meant most of that time unable to do much of anything. Hopefully that’s it at least, not that something comes roaring back.
I’m still in for now. Negative PCR.
I think I turned the corner. My fever is gone, the congestion is still here but my energy is up a bit. Brain still a little hazy. But the trend is in the right direction.
Will test probably starting tomorrow to see when I flip negative, because I’m curious.
the test fades to negative. it’s not just an off switch. my mother was obsessively testing daily after being positive and we’d get a group text of the results
Oh, interesting, I had assumed it was more binary. I’ll report back!
Feeling quite good, still some congestion. My lungs aren’t 100%, but I mowed the lawn. I tested positive this morning so I’m still in quarantine. Maybe tomorrow.
At lga testing my virginity status
Pretty much back at 100%. I also mowed the lawn, which was not as bad as expected in terms of how bad it looked, or energy to finish the task. It brought on some watery eyes and a mild throat irritation, but that is normal after mowing this time of year.
I never actually tested, seemed kind of pointless. I may have if I remained without symptoms more than +3 days after the kid tested positive, but those arrived right on time.
I know a number of people who had covid this past week. Haven’t seen any of them in person in a while, so not worried about getting it from them, but it does feel like cases around me are higher. I’m not tracking the data as closely as I used to. My state isn’t tracking cases daily anymore, so I’ve somewhat stopped checking in.
Still in the club, and I counted my test stockpile today - got 40 of them for our family of 4.
Naw, my son tested every day. The first day he was negative. The next, positive. Then Very Positive, then VERY POSITIVE, then positive, then positive, then negative. There aren’t numbers on the test, but you can get a good sense of what your viral load is, at least the viral load in your nose.
Explain, please.
I have not taken a quick test, so I do not understand the severity.
I assume it’s the darkness of the second line at 15 minutes? All I know is our positive test was faint at 15 minutes, but dark as the control when I threw it out later.
Speed of it turning positive and/or darkness of the line
If the test line immediately turns dark red, it’s very positive. If it takes a while to turn red, it’s less positive. If it ends up only faintly red, it’s barely positive.
On my mother’s first test, and my son’s most positive test, the test line turned dark red the moment the line of moisture touched it, and then the person doing the test waited a couple of minutes to make sure the control line also turned red.
The cheap CVS antibody test similarly can test slightly positive, or very positive, but they don’t tell you that, because it’s not an official result. But i was chatting with the women who did mine, and she had been testing herself every week, and watching it get weaker, and then jumped to get the (first) booster shot when she became eligible, and watched her test bounce back.
You still in the club?
My fever broke Friday and I felt pretty good yesterday, so it looks like I can rejoin the real world today.
For now yes, but I flew yesterday so we will see in the next few days.
I haven’t been feeling well with extreme fatigue seemingly stemming from this pressure on my head and face that no doctor can diagnose, so if i get covid on top of that it can be potentially horrifying.
Of my parents and sibling I’m the only one still in the club
Fingers crossed. Someone has to keep the torch burning here.
I, too, am still in the club, but waiting to see the results of a trip.
I’m thinking maybe I’ve had it by now and just don’t know it. But I haven’t gotten a symptomatic cold-like illness since March of 2020 which was before routine testing was available. Tested once before a gathering but it was negative.
