hard to say. i think he certainly would have wanted it 4 years ago if not for the death of his son. now, not sure.
I mean, I’d love for Harris to become president, but not because Biden has a stroke or something. I am hoping for Biden’s continued good health.
What I’d like to see with regard to the impeachment. I want the senate to sit on this for 100 days, let Biden get shit done first. All the while the FBI etal are putting together the network of evil that ties Trump, his family, multiple congresspeople, and other officials together to illustrate just how much anti-American crap was being done before the election and after the election that led up to the lamest attempted coup in recent memory. Lay all the facts out. Make the GOP vote on that. Also, you know during those 100 days Trump will eventually spill his involvement, the dude can’t hold his tongue when he needs to.
Going forward I would like to see Biden put together an anti-Nazi, pro-facts, commission led by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Their primary goal is branding facts matter, hate/nazi’s are bad, etc. If they can keep in the news with education, rallies, commercials, whatever for a couple of years we may be able to strip away 20 to 30 percent of those Trumpians, enough to make them fade from power.
actually, i guess i can see why even if some of these representatives might want to vote for impeachment, they might not do it. their lives are seriously at risk for going against trump. it’s a scary time to be in congress right now.
We’ll see. I wouldn’t exactly characterize him as someone in particularly good health, and I wouldn’t put it past certain factions of the party to push him out and Harris in during this term.
I dunno, he jogs, he cycles, he’s got decent musculature for a guy of his age. I mean, he’s old enough that it wouldn’t be astonishing if he had some adverse health event. But he’s in damn good shape for his age.
And you think he’d be pushed out for Harris? Why? He’s popular. His peers all like him. He’s a white man who has spent most of his life making friends. That’s WHY he won the nomination. Harris is much more polarizing, and not just because she’s neither white nor a man. She was a prosecutor. She’s much more likely to take sides, and not try to be everyone’s friend.
I just don’t get this thought that TPTB installed Biden as a ruse to get someone else in. (Someone who is almost invariably a woman, for some weird reason. Sometimes Harris, sometimes Pelosi or Clinton.) I am on some of Trump’s mailing lists, and I read his snail-mail. He (or his copywriters) have lobbed some really bizarre conspiracies like that.

yeah, agree that it’s silly to assume Biden will be pushed out for Harris. also, people would definitely resent that if he was and that would hurt the dems, unless there is a good reason for it, such as him having real health issues.
i was impressed by him biking outside for exercise at his age.
why do people continue to assume that biden is less healthy than trump? you don’t see trump biking around town.
I had a different take on…“be very careful what you ask for”.
In Donald’s world view, any black serving as the Vice President is a threat to take your job. They’d definitely lie and cheat to get that office. I mean, who wouldn’t?

The same reason they think Trump is a super successful real estate developer. DJT repeats a lie enough times that people figure it must be at least partially true.

He has a stutter, which gives the impression he his mentally not sharp - I feel he has always phumphered a bit and didn’t always think before speaking. Since election, I actually find his comments very well measured

The stutter just makes me angry. So many people I know willingly taking shots at Biden’s mental capacity over a stutter. It’s truly just bullying. When someone won’t acknowledge that I stop discussing politics with them. They are just mean so there is no point.
