I was thinking President
Samesies.
Wife was watching âThe Judge (2014)â on the netflix last night. I was dutifully posting to the GoA, as is my custom, but this line caught my ear:
âDefendentâ in courtroom: This ainât fairâŚ
Judge: Hey! One more word. Go on. Look around you. Youâre standing in one of the last great cathedrals in this countryâŚbuilt on the premise that you and you alone are responsibleâŚfor the consequences of your actions. Now, you still want fair? All right. Head north. Stop when you get to Indianapolis. Tractor pulls, cotton candyâŚkettle corn and the worldâs largest steer. First week in August. Youâll love it.

My guess here was, at first, LISTY, but it didnât accept it as valid, which is a shame.
FWIW, I had guessed that word before hitting upon the correct one.
That was one of two I had left when I busted out. The other was BUSTY
Iâm on my city council and last night staff was proposing a change to the way we contribute to retirement. There is a Public Employee DB plan that has a 35 year full benefit and a Public Safety that requires a 25 year full benefit. The Public Safety were going to be required to contribute 4.73% along with what we contributed but we can âpick-upâ that contribution. To be âfairâ staff proposed that we also contribute that 4.73% to a 401K for the Public Employees.
I tried to explain âthe fairâ to them. I wasnât all that successful though I did get it reduced from 4.73 to 3.29 a longer story, but I was shocked that my fellow council members agreed to do that. We will save about 25K out of a 17M budget.
thank you for your service! i feel that pain too
I was at an Asian/halal store that had big cans of Milo on sale.
Very popular in Australia when I was a kid. Hereâs a learn-to-spell ad from 1980 when Swedish hairstyles were in fashion (Abba was very popular in Australia too).

I was enjoying some store bought granola that contains dried blueberries and cranberries. I wondered if @Breadmaker has a similar disdain for all the dried fruits.
I hope not. Oatmeal craisin cookies are almost as good as oatmeal chocolate chip.
