Talk me into/out of getting a new phone

Surprised I didn’t have to do much to get my stuff from one phone to the other. Just needed wifi and put the phones next to each other for about a half hour.

So Apple has caught up to Android 2017.

I have a wireless charger and it is very slow relative to even the older 5W charger. This was true of my old 8 and my newish 12.

So is there a specific wireless charger you recommend? Does IT have to be charged?

IME, both wired and wireless come in different levels of charging. I have an old, cheap wireless charger that’s quite slow. And I have a new-ish Qi charger rated for… I think 10W. It’s a pretty fast charge.

My wife buys really cheap accessories. She had a wired car charger once, I plugged my phone in for 90 minutes and gained 2% battery. It annoyed me enough that I bought her a replacement.

Yeah, I have a new wireless charger by my bed, and I leave the phone on it when I’m in bed. That’s now my primary charger, and it’s faster than I would have guessed. I also have a charger in the car, and a variety of other chargers hanging around, but I rarely feel the need to use them. I love having a new phone with a nice capacious battery.
