Female faces are regarded as more attractive than male ones, a large study involving 12,000 people around the world has found.
in MN, they just made legal lane splitting and filtering for motorcycles. someday there will be a study that shows this hard fought freedom increased biker deaths
Should be various studies, since CA allows it.
Hereās the JAMA Pediatrics article:

Design, Setting, and Participants An excess mortality analysis was conducted using the US Centers for Disease Control and Preventionās Wide-Ranging Online Data for Epidemiologic Research (WONDER) database before and after McDonald v Chicago, the landmark 2010 US Supreme Court decision on firearms regulation. States were divided into 3 groups based on legal actions taken before and since 2010, most permissive, permissive, and strict. Firearm mortality trends before (1999-2010) and after (2011-2023) were determined and compared across the 3 groups for all intents and by intent (homicide and suicide). Subgroup analysis by observed race and ethnicity was conducted. For each US state, preāand postāMcDonald v Chicago all-intent pediatric firearm mortality incident rates were compared. These data were analyzed January 2011 through December 2023.
Exposure The preā and postāMcDonald v Chicago legal landscape.
Main Outcomes and Measures Excess mortality during the postāMcDonald v Chicago period.
Results During the postāMcDonald v Chicago period (2011-2023), there were 6029 excess firearm deaths (incidence rate [IR], 158.6 per million population; 95% CI, 154.8-162.5) in the most permissive group. In the permissive group, there were 1424 excess firearm deaths (IR, 107.5 per million person-years; 95% CI, 103.8-111.3). In the strict group, there were ā55 excess firearm deaths (IR, ā2.5 per million person-years; 95% CI, ā5.8 to 0.8). Non-Hispanic Black populations were had the largest increase in firearm mortality in the most permissive and permissive state groupings. Four states (California, Maryland, New York, and Rhode Island) had decreased pediatric firearm mortality after McDonald v Chicago, all of which were in the strict firearms law group.
Not necessarily. Lane splitting/filtering may allow the biker to get through to be first at the stop light, giving them some open road and reducing the frequency of being surrounded by cars/trucks (some of whom quickly change lanes without taking into consideration their blind spots) in all directions.
I am much more OK with motorcycles splitting lanes to get to the front of an intersection than I am an asshole bicyclist that will proceed to hug the line of the bike lane following the intersection.
Clearly you need to try Lagunitas hops flavored sparkling water, which is oddly better than lite-beer.
the hop water is pretty darn refreshing! does not remind me of beer at all tbh.
Itās definitely not beer. Really, just a sparkling water flavored with hops (and other flavors).
Hops can have a pungent/earthy/dank flavor all on their own, but many varieties have more of a floral or even a perfume charateristic. The bitterness comes from the conversion of alpha acids to bittering compounds when wort is boiled.
Hop water then is more of a hop tea, with some citric acid added. The lagunitas version seems to have almost a berry flavor added as well. They also have a blood orange and (third) flavor that I found at Costco. Itās crazy that a case of that sells for $25. The cost of the hops they are adding is a fraction of what is added to similar quantity of bud light, so it should have approximately the same production costs as any other sparkling water drink that sells for under $10 a case at Costco.
Donāt Costco much, do you?
Lacroix and Waterloo have been ~$9.69 for me recently. Sometimes on sale for $6.99.
āAny otherā I guess was a bad word choice as there are others in the ~$15 range.
