Stocks go down and down and down some more

It’s a pretty shocking fall for Intel. Dropped by over 50% since December.

Foreign war is crazy good business for some companies. Check out what’s happened to LMT stock of late.

RTX and NOC also up.

The Schwab app is down. Big surprise. I am sure they have plenty of people available to process things manually right now. /red

I’ve been doing extremely well on PNG. I think in the US it’s KRKNF.

The only things green on my watch list are things that are short equities in some way or a bond index.

The vanguard app was working, in general , this morning , but when I was going to see if I could figure out how to sell some bonds to buy some stocks it said something along the lines of “uh, no”.

Schwab app is back up!

I only have 2 positions in the black today, but both are a small % of my portfolio: SCHP, VTEB

I think that might be today’s intraday price compare to historical daily closing prices.

I wonder how Black Monday would have fared VIX-wise.

I feel old.

At a glance, it looks like the implied VIX would have been about 150.

Eh, from some rough math looks like my 2024 return is down to only 9-10%ish.

Woe is me.

Everything still being invested biweekly as normal.

Yup, I am still a net buyer, so cheaper is better for me. The money I have that I might spend in the next year is weighted towards bonds right now, that’s down about 1%. I’ll feel better about increasing my weight towards equity and growth ETFs if things become less frothy, but 5% in the last week is not really quite the drop that gets there.

Time to buckle my helmet.

Later, that same day, I was able to exchange bonds for stocks.

Seems like these platforms should be able to handle volumes a bit more than they are. Schwab wasn’t slow, it just didn’t work at all.
