SOA Participation Gifts

Bump.

I’m getting the bluetooth speaker this time

Is it that time of year again???

I’m going to go with the blue pullover. I like SOA clothing more than other stuff, it gets a lot of use.

I already have 3 of them (or so).

I wish they’d do the “Trust Me, I’m an Actuary” tshirts again

those were big hits

Haven’t seen mine yet. I like the pull overs, great when you need layering, but don’t need another

just got an email i came up short this year

Sucks to be you

I was actually surprised I had enough points. I had to drop a lot of my usual activities this year

I got 41 points and I don’t volunteer or go to any SOA meetings. I belong to 2 sections, watched a couple of webcasts, and accessed the directory a couple times. That’s it.

I had 85 points, I believe. Somewhere in the 80’s. I do exam writing and grading, but I don’t do much beyond that, and it feels like a lot of points for what I contribute.

  1. going to annual meeting this year, that should put me over the top
  1. Gotta decide between the laptop case, the travel mug, and the wireless charger.

:bump:

Time to choose!

My old SOA fleeces are getting a bit worn… I think I’ll get a new one.

How do you guys rack up points?

I am surprised to see I have any points at all, 31

(Basically just pay my dues and go to the annual meeting every year, nothing else)

I have 88 points. I assume mostly from being a volunteer.

I got the blue zip fleece. I like my grey one, so now I shall have two.

No swag for me this time. :dotted_line_face:

woohoo - 55 pts, just made it this year

I didn’t even see the fleece, must go by the number of points
But I went to get a reusable tote, $25 value, but the discount code only took off $20
I am assuming a mistake somewhere

I don’t think the CAS has prizes every year. Are the prizes good enough to warrant starting exams over and switching my career?

I don’t take exams. I presume it is from attending Annual Meetings and Webinars

Donated to the Actuarial Foundation. I don’t need any more SOA schwag.
