I’m sure it just hit a very large bird. Nothing unusual at all.
Rrrrrriiiiiiggggghhhhhttttttt…
Nothing to see here folks. Move along.
Tens of people die each year from bird attacks.
Current news bears this out.
Any truth to the rumor that he survived the crash, was transported to the hospital, then fell out of the hospital window?
While drinking a healthy revitilizing cup of polonium tea?
Collateral damage
Wow, Russia, that seems hard to believe. I think I speak for everyone when I say that possibility hadn’t even crossed our minds. Such a nice man, without a single vengeful enemy in the world. Crazy, huh?
Who could have done such a thing
Vladimir Putin to dedicate the remainder of his life to tracking down the real killer
I think the evidence will show that Alexei Navalny ordered the hit from behind bars
as putin’s motorcade rolls down the freeway at 15 mph
This is the beginning of the end for Putin and Russia.
Longer range missiles from the UK (Storm Shadow) made the Russian fleet vulnerable to attack. Ukraine
has taken advantage of this and hit them twice now in Crimea.
Russia is now leaving their main fleet base in Crimea as they cannot protect it.
Russian Navy Is Bailing on Sevastopol, the ‘Permanent’ Home Base of the Black Sea Fleet
The stakes of this war have been raised. Russia is attacking infrastructure it would need if it’s intention was to occupy, salting the land with land mines as it withdraws, attacking the grain silos and ships etc. OTOH Ukraine is now on a counter offensive that seems fruitful, using drones on Russian soil, basically making the black sea unwelcome to Russian navy etc. I hope this doesn’t get worse as Russia gets more desperate because I honestly don’t see them sustaining this war for another 2 years without it being a full on war of decimation.
You forget that Ukraine just got agreement from the US for the much longer range ATACMS missile system with cluster munitions (not unitary mssiles).
They will use those via their HIMARS launchers (as they are compatible) to hit the Russian defensive positions from long-range, while they clear the layered minefields. In the past, clearing the minefields was a problem because you would be exposed to the Russian artillery and drones.
The Russian’s are now facing an enemy that has a longer artillery range than they do on the ground. The Ukrainians will keep moving forward while the Russians will keep depleting their missile stocks by targeting infrastructure.
Its a losing battle for the Russians in the long-term. They cause infrastructure damage (that can be rebuilt by US and EU) while their own troops and equipment are used up and destroyed on the ground (and they cannot replace this as easily as the Ukrainians can via NATO as their production facilities are being hit by sanctions).
I totally agree with you and I suspect Russia sees all this as well. That’s why I am really worried Russia will just try something desperate. We now know they can’t win it so they either go out the way they came and possibly get out of Crimea too or they do something to get Ukraine to negotiate.
What does the west do if Russia nukes Kiev?
It will take a while for the Ukranians get to the Crimea border. Could be years frankly due to the winter weather (nobody will be doing much during that time as it will simply be too cold and tanks and equipment will get bogged down)
Ukraine is looking for a negotiated peace because they are losing people and their cultural history (which Russia is targeting).
The thing is, the more Russia destroys while Ukraine is advancing, the less of a chance the Ukrainians will want a peace settlement later on.
My main view of this is that it will probably end with Ukraine taking some parts of Crimea, but the world powers brokering a peace treaty.
Main point being that Russia will have lost so much combat power that they will agree in order to not lose more territory.
Turn Russia into a parking lot and send over the marines to paint over the lines.
And how many more cities get lost on both sides from that? Russia still has enough nukes to kill a shit tonne of people
