I feel like Steve kicks my ass! I don’t take all the time, but can’t say I zoom through it uncaringly either.
No idea why I do so much better. I did get the pangram as my first word both of the last 2 days, which may help a lot. I do try hard to get the clean plate, but you got that, too. Without fully understanding the scoring, I try very hard (and have succeeded, recently) in using a double in every word. And I don’t try to use the double twice in a word, since I believe that just makes the multiple 3, not 4. Along with that, I’ve been trying to make a lot of short words, because except for the center letter you can use each one a fixed number of times. For a 1 point letter, if I use it once in each of two words, each doubled, the letter is worth 4. If I use it twice in one doubled word, it’s still 4, but maybe the two words let me use the center letter more often.
I try to focus on combining the spicy letter multiple times with high-value letters, and I feel like I hover around the mean 
Interesting, like Scrabble, there is some meta to be analyzed.
If you always have a spicy letter in each word, the high value tiles always get their maximum individual value from spice. There might be some merit to trying to use them later, when there is also some multiple from using a tile its last time. Thus far, I have not tried to take advantage of that and have used high value ties relatively early.

I almost tried FIRSTDOWN for the pangram. Don’t know what would have happened if I had tried it. Presumably would not have worked, but would it have stopped me from getting the Perfect result? Google told me FIRSTDOWN was not a valid scrabble word.

Major disappointment. Should have gotten the Pangram, but didn’t, even with the hint. :duh: But aghast that BING was not a word. I was on track to use all the letters, but couldn’t find a way to recover after that. Reported

Aghast. I had a plan to use all the tiles, but then EPEE was not allowed. No problem, use PEE. But that not allowed either. Fortunately I was planning to use PIE but hadn’t, and could change it to PIPE

Did get the pangram, but only after a hint. Mildly disappointed that TOWELMAKER was not in the word list, but not going to report it especially since it is not a valid scrabble word. Google AI thinks it should be a valid word. I did try TOWELMAKER as my very first guess
