Another boatload of rain this week in SoCal.

Or, as the English call it, “Monday.”
I’ve spent about 25 days in Britain and had maybe 3 rainy days and 3 cloudy days. I’ve really got the wrong impression of the place.
The UK wasn’t always this rainy around Dec/Jan/Feb.
And if you visit in the Spring/Summer it is usually quite pleasant now (even hot, just not extreme hot).
Climate Change is definitely making things worse in the UK in terms of rain. Frequency and severity of climate events are all trending worse now (big problems with flooding now due to the constant rain).
One of the main reasons we escape to Brazil for Dec/Jan vacation. Need a bit of Vit D ![]()
I mean, I wouldn’t exactly call it severe, but the high here today is 67°F. In northeast Kansas, in February. This is not normal.
You can plant the corn!
If I plant now then it’ll certainly be knee high by the Fourth of July!
Was mid-50’s this morning at 8AM. Is mid-80s at noon.
Perfect earthquake weather, allegedly.
Mid-80’s is quite a bit warmer than the 56.7° highest recorded air temperature.
That’s some impressive global warming.
Always assume F, not C.
Considering who I interact with most frequently, that would be confusing.
Well, you know enough about me that you could assume the F.
Mr Raines, the local weather guy (yes, his actual (or professional) name) is predicting rain in 12 days, 3/24. That seems pretty far off for any predictions. Plus/Minus two days, and Plus/Minus 100 miles (in my non-professional; opinion).
No one seems to care about these long-range forecasts, so I’ll put it here so we can measure the accuracy.
