Yeah, I watched the game over at BF’s house as he got NFL Sunday Ticket and it wasn’t televised in my area. So I didn’t want to be rude and post during the game, but I was watching and agree that ridiculous botched DPI call was likely the difference of the game. I mean you don’t want it to be so close that one bad call decides it, but still… it was crazy that NY didn’t fix the bad call on the field… isn’t that their job???

You can’t count on a 55 yard kick to win.
He had 2 FGs over 50 in the game and field conditions are perfect. This is a new era where 55-60 are not uncommon. Meyers has a 61. Distance was not an issue.
Success rate on 55 yard FGs this season has been 58% so more often than not that is good, but not a gimmie.
Overall for 55-59 it’s about 54% rate
60-64 is around 34%
65+ is 1 for 15 this year
That was through late October.
…and there are some kickers that are better than others. Myers was 29/42 from 50+ before that kick and also 9/11 since start of last year. Conditions in stadium are perfect. It’s > 2/3. It looked like he shanked it. It went wild right.

According to Myers and others that were there, there was really odd wind and conditions were far from perfect.
He is still kicking outdoors.
Yes, there can be some weird wind “inside” the stadium. It has one end that is open at some level. I wouldn’t put it past some enterprising Ram employee to work the doors at appropriate times.
But, really, stop with the penalties, play smarter, and protect your QB from one of the best players in the NFL Football League. And, waste some more fucking time when you’re ahead!

Everything about the 4th quarter and most of the 3rd was complete garbage on offense and coaching.

Yeah, since 2010, and that is how they determine a baseline for the average kicker, I guess. Probably do some adjustments when kicker is declared above average or below average.
Gino probably wishes the game was on Sunday. Not much recuperation time.

Why don’t teams three scores down 7 minutes left go 2-minute drill? Looks like just trying to beat the spread, but wont even do that.
Get a first down? Spike it. Clock is priority. Maybe I’m just thinking too smartly relative to an NFL Football coach.
