The fact that the Hawks’ offense did that well with only one starter on the oline (playing out of position, too) and with Smith playing the second half with an injured knee is really impressive.
Defense won the game, for sure. But the offense showed some resiliency.

Final thought (hopefully) on last nights game:
I am so happy to have Wagner back on our sideline this year. 17 tackles & 2 sacks in his 11th year in the league.
I just hope he can end his career, whenever that is, as a Hawk.

Nice outcome, but don’t read too much into beating the Giants. They are horrible this year. Honestly they hugely outperformed their talent last year.

I’m still extremely upset that the Bills let the NYJ beat them in Week 1
We are feeling that way about the Rams.
Hawks were clearly looking past them to the Lions.
Also, McVay has our number, so maybe that is all it was.
I think the Hawks were just not prepared for whatever reason for their season opener against the Rams. Looking forward to the rematch.
Will be interesting to see how they do against a good out of division NFC team like Dallas or Philadelphia. Will assume SF is the best NFC team until they lose.

My two favorite teams are playing each other… I said I’d root for whichever team needs the win more. That’s rather unclear.
