I am surprised nobody mentioned the fitbit aria. Although, I used to have one and it was junk. I’d weigh myself 5 times in the morning and get 5 different readings.
I would recommend though a scale with WiFi. The one I have now is bluetooth only and I always have to open the phone app while weighing myself or else it won’t sync.
I noticed tonight that mine is definitely the Nokia one too.
I realize the purchase has been made…but I was curious, did some poking around…and it appears that the FitIndex syncs to your phone via bluetooth?
I have the Withings scale. It auto-uploads data via WiFi to the cloud.
I like the idea of not really having to think about the data sync when I get on the scale in the morning. I wouldn’t be a fan of having to remember to grab my phone / pray that the bluetooth sync works (I’ve had issues with Bluetooth…)
Someone more paranoid about privacy than I might make the opposite choice.
Yes, I have a BP monitor that syncs via bluetooth. Although, it’s not inconvenient it is an extra step.

I simply remember the number using my brain. Do I remember all the numbers? No, only the most recent one. Who am I going to share this with anyway? No one, that’s who.
Someone more OCD might make the opposite choice.
I need to remember all the numbers…to observe trends & such.
I can’t even remember that one.
My doctor is quite interested in this information.
Other people might as well.
Your doctor wants to know infinitesimal weight changes in your body? Or are you going up 5lb and down 5lb week over week?
My doctor will know my weight when I go in and get weighed. I do that during my annual checkup every five years or so.
Imma gunna sic my sick HIPPO after you if you keep asking these (sic) helth questions .
I have not bought a bike lock in a while…they cost $100-$200? I thought even the fancy ones were like $40.
If I bought a $200 bike lock and locked up my bike up, somebody might steal the lock and leave the bike!
uff da…almost $300 these days.
So… because I like shopping and new things, and had 20% off plus a 30 day return window, I got the Withings Body+ to compare to my FitIndex and the InBody scale…
Weight: exactly the same to the decimal.
Body Fat %:
FitIndex: 21%
InBody: 32% (last week)
Withings: 34%
As long as the results don’t vary wildly day to day, I’ll be keeping the Withings one…
fwiw, about a decade or two ago we bought a scale that purported to calculate the user’s BF%. It wasn’t even consistent with itself. I’d get wildly different readings even when those readings were made just seconds apart.
Obviously, technology improves over a coupla decades, but of all the things a scale can do for me, I trust its calculation of my BF% the least.
Admittedly, I care about the trend more than the number. But if the number is wildly off, how accurate is the trend?
Since June 14 I’ve lost 13.4 pounds - mostly due to “mindful eating”
Why can’t you just write them down?
I don’t usually have a pen/pencil & paper with me in the bathroom. I’m not going to (a) remember to write that numb3r down later and (ii) remember what that number was. I"m quite happy with my purchase even if you aren’t.
Who said I wasn’t happy with your purchase?
