My husband, who is a runner and can run a 5k in 2/3 of the time I can, came running with me tonight.
I tried this one time. It was going to end in a murder suicide. She runs all annoying as hell. Never again, running is a solo thing for me.

Your wife should not be so jealous that you couldnât run with NA.
lol. spouse and I love spending time together just not for exercise.
i struggle mightily fitting in running with people who donât do it close to what i do. bike rides and walksâŚsure. But I am a good running partner only for people who are close to me in typical pace
I get it. I would not enjoy running with someone slower than I am (if that were possible).
It was also about 50 degrees and windy, along with a few sprinkles of rain here and there. He was freezing and miserable. I donât sweat a ton, so I find that kind of weather enjoyable.
Heâs a saint.
Your pace is faster than mine, soâŚ
Did you decide to do the 5ks?
Still debating.
that would be stressful as hell for me running. worse when I was a fast runner. dude on the left has to be freaking out
âDang! I shouldnât have spilled that bacon grease on my shoes this morning.â
That dog might get kicked, and it would be the ownerâs fault.
I headed out for an afternoon run. I did the usual 5 minute of walking to warm up, but when I started to run, I felt something pull in my upper calf. Itâs the same calf, but different spot, from where I tore my gastrocnemius years ago. I tried walking a little longer, but still felt discomfort when I shifted to running. I opted to just walk after that.
Good idea
today was 85. im not used to that. running in the PM was a mistake.
for a few weeks I have added about 20 min of stationary bike 4-5x per week. not intense, just moderate (HR between 100 and 120). it is surprising how that (combined with the running Ive been doing) helps the weightloss.
I had my fastest running races when I was mostly triathlon training. Those cycling miles without beating up the legs the same way really does wonders.
Ran 5.1 miles on a 6.4 mile trek outside tonight. Not continuous, getting over a cold and it was pretty warm out, but proud of myself.
Definitely going to lose that pinkie toenail eventually. The nail bed is very bruised.
Oh, bummer. I went to check on the registration info for my race next Saturday and itâs been postponed until September! I still have one on May 24th though to keep me motivated.
Thatâs bizarre. Any idea why it is delayed so long?
The organization it supports is small and has had some leadership turnover, so theyâre postponing. Itâs a foster care organization, which is close to my heart, so Iâll keep the registration.
