Bought some new shoes yesterday. My Hoka Clifton 4’s we’re looking pretty ratty so I went out outlet store and got some Clifton 8’s. Hoping to give them a spin later today before the rain starts up.
my awesome november crashed. was super tired first week of december owing to travel and other things that wore me out. and have been sick now for 8 days. gotta get healthy and get the magic back!
Gonna be a horrible week for us.
Been getting back into the running. I have nothing but hills going out my front door, but have a few nice level trails nearby. Not going to break any records, but would like to get to around 8:30 a mile for a 3-4 mile run.
6 miles this morning, just a bit over an hour, the legs are pretty tired. I think I have run >5 miles miles maybe half a dozen times at most, and not since 2017. I was a bit over 9 minutes a mile back then, thinking 8:30 may not be a realistic goal.
You can get there, just will take some training and patience.
it’s just work. gotta put in the work to get the rust off
Work, and losing another 20 pounds… which might happen by March at this rate. Nearing 19k steps for the day, whew I’m tired.
My friend did a ‘HO HO HO’ run with her kids. Fun stuff
Holidays and general laziness limited my recent runs. Only ran 2x this past week for C210K week 3 (1.5 run/walk, 3 run/walk x2). Running will be limited the next few weeks bc I’m headed on a couple week vacation that is filled with lots activities so will probably stay on week 3 for a bit.
I think those are in a Disney Park of some sort. the pavers, benches, flora, umbrellas, mouse ears, and tiara are dead giveaways.
Possibly last weekend at WDW.
But, more research tells me it might have been 2021 or 2022.
And definitely a Disney Marathon.
The sign about Bob Chapek would have been dated if it were for last weekend’s marathon.
So are any of you pplz hopping on the zone 2 bandwagon? Like, it’s supposed to just be easier with the same benefits if not more than zone 3 and beyond, apparently.
In case anyone is confused:
i think i’m unintentionally doing this. on my long runs (>30 minutes) I’m conscious of when it feels too hard to talk and slow down so I could hold a conversation. with myself, naturally, as nobody else is ever around when i’m running.
I’m not in good enough shape to stay in Z2 for long even when running slowly, so am still doing Z3 runs. My goal is to stay in the Z2 / Z3 range.
Weaselette got roped into doing 5k at Disneyland this Friday. Her sister is going to do that and the half-marathon on Sunday. They are going to ride all the rides and stuff Saturday I guess.
She’s not a runner, but we’ve got to the point where she will finish well ahead of the sweepers.
