I remember when the story of the artificial heart was first implemented successfully came out. It was amazing how it was able to give someone hope for a few more years for a “better” solution (actual organic heart transplant).

Well let’s say there are three doors, behind one of them is an artificial heart, behind the other two are llamas. You first pick a door to get what’s inside, if I open one of the other doors and reveal a llama and give you the chance to switch your pick, do you do it?

RIP, Sly Stone

RIP Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. He had a lot of tragedy mixed in with his success, and came out of it all a great human being. Good catalog of music, Pet Sounds stands as one of the greatest records ever made.

ETA: smoothie ninjaed me by one second, curse you!

RIP Brian.

A lot of memorable music came out of your troubled life.

Mick Ralphs of Mott the Hoople and Bad Company. I have a special fondness for him, as I learned how to bend notes on the guitar by learning his intro to All The Young Dudes. RIP
