Melanie Safka has died

My favorite was “Lay Down (candles in the rain)”, but i looked a lot of her songs. She was only 76, and the article says no cause of death was given.

Yeah, I think Lay Down (Candles In The Rain) is awesome. It’s on my ipod and whenever it comes up I end up listening to it again 3 or 4 times. I don’t think she’s got a particularly good voice, but she sure knows how to use it effectively. RIP

Yup.

“Let’s make the baby do the magic hand thing. Come on, baby. Do the magic hand thing.” (I knew him as Greef Karga.)

In Predator as well.

Also Arrested Development.

And in both the NFL and CFL as a linebacker.

I forgot Carl Weathers was in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Small role as an MP where he scares Richard Dreyfus.

He was slated to be in a Super Bowl commercial this year.

Odds are it has already been filmed, the question is will they show it

They will show it, probably with an adjustment. We’ve already seen the preliminary ad.

Massive talent. Was sorry when he left the Toronto Symphony for the US as he was an incredible conductor and personality. His recent conversations with Murakami were awesome.

RIP.
