Guessing the alcohol helps in this.
It’s not as if he has a moral stand against alcohol. He thinks he is better if he doesn’t drink. He thinks everyone else is worse off when they drink. He likes this perceived advantage.

So, Georgia is named after George Washington?

I don’t think Georgia got an upgrade with MTG’s retirement.

Hilarious, eh?

I think someone who doesn’t live in Georgia can be excused for not knowing for whom it is named.

Oops. NM.

Her retirement was an upgrade. Her retirement and replacement may be a net downgrade, except new guy likely has less influence.

Backward-hat bros. Hard to take them seriously, but also hard to tell if they want to be taken seriously.
Also, get a fitted cap, bro.

Eric Trump – the president’s son – is on Maria Bartiromo’s show bragging about one of his companies landing a $24 million Pentagon contract

I’m sure Congress will get right on this with another Hunter Biden investigation.

Obligatory:

Father: Did you know that I named you after George Washington?

Son: You did? Neat!!

Father: Yep . . . because I couldn’t’ve named you before him . . .

Apparently Georgia was named after George II, not George I nor George III. Who knew? Pretty obscure monarch other than that he was the last born outside of the United Kingdom.

Handel did write Zadok the Priest for his coronation though. Probably my favorite coronation piece and has been played at every coronation since -

I think if you look at the timing of when Georgia was established as a (penal) colony, George II was reigning at that time.

I was unsure which King George it was named after but knew it was certainly not George Washington!

Probably a few politicians also think this….

Seems accurate, but I did not find MSM confirmation.

From the Alabama press:

https://www.al.com/politics/2026/04/hegseth-slammed-for-saying-this-american-institution-deserves-nobel-peace-prize-every-single-year.html

I think I saw that one, but wasn’t familiar enough with al.com to call in MSM, or even a trusted source.

I’d call it MSM. It is what has survived from several of the major newspapers across the state. It still has enough journalistic integrity for me to view its source reporting as trusted.
