House Speaker Mike Johnson said there will not be a vote before Congress’ August recess on a resolution that calls on the Trump administration to release more files related to child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“We’re in line with the White House; there’s no daylight between us,” he added. “We want transparency, and I think that will be delivered for the people.”

I’m sure that if Biden had released a video showing Trump being arrested and put into prison, it would be the most disgraceful thing ever to happen to the Presidency. Potentially a call to insurrection.

A satire site ran an article saying that Obama had posted the actual footage of Trump being arrested. People on the right took it seriously and got big mad.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Attorney General Pam Bondi and her deputy Todd Blanche informed President Donald Trump in May that his name appeared multiple times in the government’s files on Jeffrey Epstein that the Department of Justice and the FBI reviewed.
The officials told Trump of their plan not to release any additional documents, the report says, because the material contained child pornography and the personal information of victims.
What we know:
- Trump’s name is in the files multiple times
- Files containing CSAM will not be released
What we do not know:
- How much information about Trump is contained in the files not being released
- That the files allegedly containing CSAM actually contain it and aren’t just being claimed that way to accuse liberals of being pedophiles
Obviously, I don’t want CSAM to be released. However, this administration is most accurately viewed as worse than not credible, but rather deceptive, so consider me skeptical.
If only there were such a thing as an independent counsel to handle such matters.

Maybe it’s just me, but being in a file that contains CSAM is bad. So either the files with Trump’s name in them can be released, or they are deeply problematic.
