I’m a bit puzzled as to how taking orders from others on how to behave in a masculine manner is being an alpha male. That seems pretty submissive to me.

Why would the Administration want a non-partisan professional body with high standards and ethics involved in the vetting of their candidates? No surprise here, eh?

Republicans have been arguing since at least Bush that the ABA has a clear liberal bias. And it is true that the vast majority of lawyers and legal scholars disagree with the Alito / Thomas viewpoint on constitutional law, but that could be bias or also a sign of the flaws of that position.
If it is the vast majority of lawyers, I would lean towards your “flaws” suggestion.
Republicans also don’t like climate change theories by the majority of scientists so there is a pattern here.

Shame it wasn’t above the fold…but I don’t suppose too many people mess with dead-tree newspapers anymore.
Apology video is out. Filmed in a cemetery. Includes references of the tooth fairy not being real and how we can have eternal life through Jesus. And is sufficiently edited by her team that they think it is a reasonable response.

Wow, that was a display of “sorry not sorry”. You might give the benefit of the doubt in her original off the cuff statement but this is deliberately crafted.
Thinking about it more…while I completely disagree with the sentiment, my (not-so-)inner a-hole can’t help but appreciate the level of a-holeishness of that response.
MAGA-types may consider it reasonable but not anyone else, hopefully.
