Republicans Say the Darndest Things!

Not that impressive when compared to Kim Il’s round of 38 which included 11 holes in one. Kim was 52 at the time but it was his first round of golf.

Trump’s quality game:

I suppose if you call a mulligan after every single bad swing then a 67 might be possible.

The bad swings were all corrupt attempts to steal the game from him.

Someone should respond “67 strokes plus how many mulligans?”

Lol, that photo struck me as weird so I Googled her up. The photo is ripped from her Wikipedia main page and definitely Photoshop.

In January, Trump announced he won the Senior Club Championship at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, despite not playing the first round of the tournament.

Members arrived the second day surprised to see Trump with a five-point lead using the Modified Stableford method. But Trump never played the first round as he was attending a funeral in North Carolina.

Trump told tournament organizers he played a strong round on the course Thursday, two days before the tournament started, and decided that would count as his Saturday score for the club championship. That score was five points better than any competitor posted during Saturday’s first round.

I’d assume that it’s just her normal promotional headshot.

Using Photoshop to create faux Fulton County mugshots isn’t hard. I created a couple of my wife’s “favorite” public figures just to amuse her.

It’s his course, so he can be as ridiculous as he wants.

I don’t understand how saying that public school teachers are “wicked people” or advocating removing science education from elementary schools aren’t disqualifying in the minds of so many voters:

Oops. Turns out the fraud is coming from inside the GOP.

I heard a few more details about Rep. Cole –

In that state, legislators have to have resided in the district they represent for at least a year.

Cole was accused by a Libertarian competitor for his seat of not living in his district. The response is that he and his family moved in with a friend in-district in time to meet the one-year residency requirement.

However, after he claims to have moved, he voted in the precinct where he “previously” lived.

Either he committed voter fraud, or he’s ineligible for his seat in the legislature.

(HIs defense appears to be that he’s just ineligible for his seat in the legislature, but the judicial system doesn’t have the authority to prosecute for that; only the legislature can impose a penalty for that.)

Mitch Mcconnell runs out of batteries again:

This was very disturbing to watch.

It’s clearly a risk when you have legislators that old and affects Republicans and Democrats a like across all levels of State, Local and Federal government across all branches.

I’d be all for a constitutional amendment that any one over age 75 can’t run for federal office but can serve out their term. And a mandatory retirement age somewhere between 75-80 for federal judges wouldn’t be bad either. But I can’t really see that getting through the amendment process but I’d sign a petition for that to put it on the ballot.

Agreed, though also it’s just another symptom of democracy failing.

If we all agree that very old people are unfit for office, then we should vote for young people.

If we don’t vote for young people, then we should be addressing the issues that cause us not to.
