Republicans Say the Darndest Things!

I didn’t say “guarantee”. I said “safely assume”.

We could go to a random gun show and pick some random vendors and play a betting game if you want a good chance of losing some money…

Are you not familiar with Log Cabin Republicans? They continue to be Republicans even when they are denied a seat at the table, repeatedly.

Fair enough. Mostly I was looking for an excuse to post that particular image.

I will say that I have been to gun shows where a plurality, but probably not a majority, of vendors have been Republican, with the remainder comprised of Libertarians/libertarians of various flavors (not unusual), and some Democrats/liberals (more common in some places than others).

See also the subrredit /r/liberalgunowners (which is where I obtained the $1000 T-bill image).

They’re still around? I thought they had collapsed given the direction of the core of the GOP over the past 6 or 7 years.

I wish they and other non-Tr*mp-cult Republicans could gain more traction. My wife and I will probably be moving to a deep red part of the US in a few years for family reasons, and the current political climate has me dreading the change.

On their website they list Dan Crenshaw as one of their few congressional allies in the Republicans party. Crenshaw recently voted against the Respect for Marriage Act.

Homophobic statements from co chair of the Michigan Republcian party.

You would think these Log Cabin Republicans could take a hint that they are not wanted in the party.

“You can always count on homophobic bullshit like this from a thin-lipped, Republican, party-bloat Barbie with that White Claw glow,” George Hahn wrote.

Ugh, as a far-leftist I dislike Democrats using terms like this for bigots. Yes she called a gay man a girl and is somebody I’d actively avoid, but we don’t need to couch distaste for bigotry by insulting physical appearance. Bigoted actions speak well enough on their own.

Gotta give her points for admitting she had no idea what it was. But take those points away for not reading in advance / not looking it up if she did read it in advance.

Is she talking about Democrats, btw?

It wasn’t my fault, I was just following the orders of General Tso.

WV State Sen. Eric Tarr (R) explains his “no” vote on the state’s near-total abortion ban, citing rape and incest exceptions as too lenient:

“If you got a burning building and you can save almost all the children but not all of them, would you do it? I’d burn the building.”

The death cult known as the GOP are at it again.

Wait, he voted against the ban … because it doesn’t go far enough? Am I understanding correctly?

Regardless, it’s pretty asinine to say that if you can’t save everyone then you shouldn’t try to save anyone.

Sounds like he’s saying if you can’t save everyone, add gasoline.

She can’t be one-upped by MTG’s earlier “gazpacho police”. Need to make headlines. ‘Gazpacho police’: Nazi gaffe lands Republican congresswoman in the soup | Republicans | The Guardian

Gazpacho and wontons… all these references to the police are making me hungry!

(And not a single reference to donuts!)
