I could only come up with about 5 German cities and this wasn’t one of them. I don’t think I would have gotten it in any reasonable time. It seems most famous, to me, for being frequently referred to in Hogan’s Heroes. But that wasn’t even in the article.

50, 74%. Got through cologne, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, and then got it right. I associate this with one of my favorite mustards, otherwise it may never have registered.

Got biology pretty early, and made it to species after a while. I could see a bunch of commas that was kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species. It took me a minute to come up with taxonomy and I wasn’t convinced it was the answer.

cheated, don’t know the word

cheated. I know the word, but probably wouldn’t have come up with it. In any case, after 150 guesses, I still wasn’t even close. Quite a few of the words that used to be among my standards might have helped some, but I didn’t use them.

I didn’t really get many hits for a while, a few here and there related to govt and law type words so I was kind of pointed that direction for a while. When that didn’t go anywhere I tried history-related things, not much luck. Around guess 70 I started fresh with medicine and that got a lot, doctors, drugs. Finally got ‘human anatomy’ to get me there. Well, I spelled the word wrong the first time, lol.

got too hung up on Legal, until I tried Medical

I had anatomy and human at about 60, which wasn’t too bad, as most of the first 50 were standard words. I kept thinking it was referring to an organ or disease and didn’t really get the point until I tried death and dead at 107 and found them right in the first paragraph. It still took me a few minutes to get the word after I had corpse.

You would think I’d have gotten it more rapidly. I got thrown off by “art” and went off in an odd direction.

Cheated. Jeez, I was all over the area but thinking of more ancient things.

I knew it was a Slavic country, but I needed help from the map

I got “of Serbia”, but ended up searching for the first word. I kept trying things like Republic, Kingdom, etc. Even though I recognized it was a history, I never thought to try the word.

finally got the right country, think I covered all of Europe. The first word didn’t occur to me

Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny trying focus in on the country by counts. 12.. getting warmer …8… getting colder…

I got the first word first or I think I’d have the same problem. Although having the first word didn’t exactly help me today, so.

yeah, I had vjvj’s experience, and also trying to pinpoint something in the history from the wars. I hit on Ottoman Empire, and when I got Balkans, I was nearly there.

As a general rule, you start broad and get more specific. When the answer itself is broad, well, easy puzzle.
