I knew it was a mosque in Istanbul, but once I got that I was out, I can’t name any of those so I had to look some up.

The only mosque I know of in Istanbul is the Blue Mosque. It was tough to get the point because of all the Christian hits. It being in Turkey, the ideal that Islam might be involved crossed my mind, but I didn’t pursue it right away.

I really thought I might get it in like 12 guesses, I was right in there from the start, ‘force’ was my third guess. I’ve always heard coriolis ‘effect’ rather than ‘force.’ So I knew it was something about inertia and rotation, I finally guessed ‘earth,’ and got it three guesses later.

I was slightly overcomplicating things but not too bad.

I started out thinking fluid flow, then thinking current flow, then finally got around to magnets.

Yeah, I went through both of those as well

I need to remember to try the simpler version of a word…

Cheating was a good call, as I don’t think I’d have gotten the exact topic ever. I’ve said it on a previous redactle - this is an area I’ve never cared about nor paid any attention to. I had the general idea at 15 and filled in enough to know I didn’t know. I’d already used up all the related words that I know.

I knew the general idea by guess 30. I tried ‘antimatter’ (and anti-matter), burned some guesses building out filler words in the first paragraph, and stared at it for five minutes when antiparticle came to mind. I had electron and positron, and struggled to think of the word that linked them.

Yeah, that’s the point where I gave up.

cheated. First time I cheated and knew the Entry. Not sure how long until I guessed it

Same here, I knew it but could not come up with it and cheated.

It helped just a little knowing that PZ and MM knew the entry. What gave me the answer was the vaccine section. Not knowing many vaccines narrowed it down. Then I noticed that it appeared to be a combination vaccine, which narrowed it down to just DPT, the only combination vaccine I know of. Luckily it wasn’t “P”, since I could only remember the D and T.

funny, as a grandparent I have had the vaccine, but never caught the specific. I actually would have known all three - with spell-check
