Holy cow that’s 18 pages worth. I didn’t peruse the full list but I also didn’t even understand all the ones that I did see. Good grief… no wonder vanity plates are so expensive. I hope that if you are denied a vanity plate that you still have to pay the fee for it.

I wonder how many executive-level officers can depart an insurance company in a year before a regulator or ratings agency asks, “wait a minute, what’s going on there?”

I wonder how many of those can be no-warning, non-voluntary departures.

I’m sure the big wigs remaining will get a nice year end bonus for making the tough decisions and steering the ship through turbulent waters

Why are the ox and lamb keeping time? Isn’t that the drummer’s job?

I am slightly sad that “The Year Without A Santa Clause” is not part of my regular Christmas movie rotation.

I have a feeling that no matter what I post tonight, @Kenny is going to  it.

Nah, keeping time is not the same as setting the tempo. Setting the tempo is done by the conductor in a large group or usually the drummer in a smaller one. Keeping time just means that you are on the beat. Like if the audience is clapping along or tapping their feet then they’re keeping time (assuming they’re accurate).

Oh.

So the ox and lamb were the click track

Driving down the road and we see 3 deer off in a field, just eating what’s left in someone’s crops, and I start thinking: that must be the life. You basically walk around, eat whatever, lay around, it’s cold and you find vague shelter and don’t freeze, if you’re male you grow antlers and shed them every year by rubbing on shit, if you’re female you wait for the guys to butt antlers to win you over, …

Oh sure, there’s like 3 weeks a year you have to avoid getting shot. And when you’re really young or really old you have to make sure you don’t get hunted down by coyotes or wolves. And when you’re chasing or being chased during mating season, you have to remember not to go run out in front of a vehicle and get hit. Or whenever you’re just walking around and there’s a road, you have to remember not to stand in the road and get hit. And a whole bunch of other stuff I haven’t gotten into that probably cuts your life short.

But beyond all that, … being a deer just standing out in a field, eating what’s left of the crops. That’s gotta be a good life.
