Just live blogging here. Got the pig strung up, the barely functional alcoholic starts burning the hair off the pig with a propane torch, Burns through the rope, drops the pig on the ground. Currently solving that problem.

Lol. Typical back home. Got the pig in the cooler but had to stop a few times for a smoke and a beer to work through the inevitable problems.

Whenever I put on a “St John’s Bay” polo shirt my mind changes it to St John’s Wart…never mind that it’s actually a wort.

Had Taco Bell last night.
Had no idea they had an outlet in the UK (and in Scotland).
We got in late so they were the only ones delivering. Just had to try it as its been many years since I had some in the US.
I’m going to have to become a soccer mom. Our new foster son is very athletic. He plays lots of sports, and wants to play ALL the sports. I signed him up for a soccer league and a baseball league this fall. He will be joining a basketball league for the winter.
He’s going into 5th grade, school sports start in 7th.
I want to encourage his interests, but I sure am going to miss my Saturday mornings.

I loved that period of my daughters’ lives, and I miss it. I can understand one’s hesitance over the idea. They haven’t made aluminum benches any more comfortable over the years. The bonding we did, even if it was in mostly silence during car rides, was significant. As an introvert it helped me meet people, too.
It’s good on you for being willing to give up Saturday mornings for the benefit of your kids.
