Apple AirPods Max: Worth it vs other pods options?
I haven’t listened to them, if you’re in that market I’d go to Best Buy or whatever and also hear the Bose and the Sony. I got the Sony WH-1000XM3 like 6-7 years ago and love them.
I’m not aware of anything they do better than a non-Apple product. Personally I quite dislike AirPods, so I’m already biased against their big version.
I’m running the Sony WH-XB910N and love it. They get a little physically oppressive on my ears after a few hours of continuous use, but I haven’t experienced a headset that doesn’t do that for me.
I think they ran me around $220 versus something like $450 for the Apple ones.
Ended up going with Airpods 2nd Gen Pro
ETA: The noise cancellation on these is wild. When I have them on, the Alexa in the main room sounds like it’s off. 
I wish I liked watches so I could get a smart watch. (Other than my wedding band, I don’t like the constrained feeling of finger/wrist accessories.)
