Ok, looked up a map of downtown Indy and it looks like hubby will be 3.5-4 blocks from the Capitol… further than I’d been thinking.
The extra 1.5 blocks could be huge in the event there are stray bullets flying around. Feeling somewhat better now.

Yeah that’s probably the weak spot, although hopefully it’s a clear enough risk that states are prepared.
Also saw National Guard up to 20k in DC. Going for a high score now.
I really hope they’re not parking all of them in say the Capitol and other fenced-in areas, and they’ve got them randomly deployed across DC for quick-strike capability. Otherwise, putting 20K soldiers in already fenced-in areas where the only real shelter is a government building seems … well, like a really terrible idea.
You could take every militia group across America, all the hate groups, all these right wing wackos give them six months to prepare and I still wouldn’t be concerned about what they can do in the Capital. The US military will kick their ass. The only thing to fear is a repeat of what happened on the 6th. The American troops were compromised internally and were not present or allowed to do their jobs. Maybe The Big One: Trump was complicit in stirring up the masses to distract from the Real Coup with paramilitary professionals ready to kill Democrats as necessary; complete with getting panic buttons ripped out prior to the insurrection, getting GOP reps to host Capitol reconnaissance tours for the real enemies of America; to have them post online the location of “traitors” so they could be strung up; and more.
I mean, this is far more plausible than “Election Fraud.”
When duly convicted, punishment should be slow and painful.

Remember that nutter Lin Wood that was constantly screaming about rampant election fraud but never providing factual proof? Apparently the GA SoS is opening an investigation into reports that Lin Wood voted illegally. He apparently moved to SC last April but voted in GA.

I think I read that Dominion had something like $1.5 billion of defamation suits lined up and ready to start filing. What will the believers think when their idols come out one after the other and admit they’ve been lying?

I opened facebook and went to the American Thinker page the day that Arthur posted that, and the believers were yelling about them being cowards and gutless wonders. Opening the same page today, American Thinker is back to spreading conspiracy theories. No idea if they lost followers, but admitting to lies on one thing clearly didn’t stop them from telling lies on others. There’s just no lawsuits pending to make them backpedal.
I think American Thinker was where corn row used to get his information about coronavirus.

Name calling = “the enemedia”, which is some 4th grade level shit that should get you fired on sight.
I would say it’s less lying and more aggressively misrepresenting numbers, motives, and claims to make an incredibly weak case that appeals to people who already fear and hate the “media”, in order to make them fear and hate the “media” even more.
The really depressing thing is that nobody will ever revisit the article to see that actually the “liberal MSM” was right all along, and that actually this article was partisan garbage. Instead of learning from their mistake, all they will remember is the vague sentiment that media = liars.
