or you could use a gmail type account if you really wanted to link it to one. you had to use the THANKSTOM approach. you would put the name of the id you wanted with a THANKSTOM at the end. tom would approve it and take out the thankstom.
yep, DW Simpson laid off tom and shut it down and created what you see now for actuarialoutpost.com which sucks and none of us go there.
for a while there was a backdoor way to get there with the IP address, but that got shut down too. then it came back again briefly a few months later, and then again shut down. i think it came back cause DW Simpson was downloading it or something cause I saw a DW Simpson bot on there.

I spend more time reading posts that I have only slight interest in. On AO, after exams were over, I feel like I was more active in some of the nerdy TV/movie discussions, i.e. new Star Wars movies or the last few seasons of GoT. I also really liked the JFG Trilogy, but there’s clearly no thread to it’s equal or really anywhere close in quality. Not a whole lot that I’m dying to talk about on here, but my ADD will kick in and I have to blow off 5 minutes here and there seeing what folks are saying in the RIP thread or whatevs.
How do I do that?

In the long run folks will either recognize you as SA or not. So far your posts are generic enough I or others with a passing familiarity with the former AO poster could have made them.
