Post when an ad pops up that has no business being there

Not a pop-up ad, but I seem to get a lot of flyers for replacement vinyl windows. Sorry folks, you’re barking up the wrong tree. My windows are a century old and still have a century left in them.

Today, it’s saunas. Both in house and separate structures outside.

Extremely expensive audio system components. Some with tubes!

What brand are we talking?

Gone now. But, talking thousands of dollars for one component or speakers. I have not searched for them.
I did come into ownership of some “rare” vinyl singles, so might need a record player of some sort.

It gets bonkers in high end audio. I went to Rocky Mountain Audio Fest many times, once I heard a huge room put together by Martin Logan, they said the whole setup was $1.2M.

Now, Lincoln. Nothing in the Lincoln lineup interests me at all.

Looking at an ad on ESPN.com for Universal Orlando. This is just an “everyone sees this” ad.
But, the pic is unusual.
First, it’s on ESPN, owned by Disney, but whatev’s, money do money
Second, it’s a pic of three people in a bed – mom, dad, and their child, presumably. They are looking at their screens, of course, while the actual park beckons them from out the window!
The tagline: “THIS is how you do Universal!”
What? Sitting on the hotel room bed looking at screens? Does the park suck that much that the decision whether to go to the park or stay at the hotel is that clear??

Bump.
Reading an article on Rolling Stone about Sarah Silverman, and these ads about Kool, I assume the cigarettes, are popping up. WTF?

someone in the area network must have been searching for the actress who played Lilly in the AT&T ads. bc the sponsored links jammed onto pages I visit seem to all have something about her.

Milana Vayntrub

yes, I know who it is. but someone at work I figure really knows who she is, or wants to know more

I wanna know more

I just saw an ad for devices that allow you to take core samples at things like sewage treatment plants (which is what the pic showed, a man standing atop a big cesspool). Interesting. And no, there is nothing scatalogical in my search history that might somehow dovetail with this.

Cheeky :poocorn: gif goes here.

Twice now I’ve seen an ad for a portable sawmill. They run about five grand or so. I have bought some things required to make my wooden shutters, but it feels like a big leap to assume I’m in the sawmill market.

AI at its finest!!

Bump: Just saw a Culver’s ad. Nearest one is 1000 miles from me (Utah, I think), though my internet location might indicate that I’m closer.

Got the ad to buy a sawmill again today, twice. They haven’t roped me in yet but if I see it again, really decent chance I’ll impulse buy one.
