Economic reality doesn’t matter to separatists. Similar warnings were ignored in the Brexit vote.

Yeah, but I believe it goes beyond Trump supporters. Something I’ve said countless times over the past, say, 18 years, and I mean it more each time I say it - I can’t believe how much I’ve overestimated the American people.
